It's called red clover, as I understand it, but it's got big light purple flowers. It's all in a pasture I hunt. Not sure if it's natural or planted for cattle.

Can I mow down the tall stuff and spray it to get a better stand? Is clethodim what I need to spray?

i have red clover in a couple of my fields, it has a pinkish red flower on it. I'm sure there are different strands but 2-4 DB for any broadleafs and the clethodium for unwanted grass. I'd spray it before mowing it so your clover isn't stressed at application. that's just an opinion though

If it's not your pasture, someone might not be too happy if you spray clethodim and kill the pasture grass

I don't own the land, but I'm leasing it, and I've got permission to plant food plots. Just trying to save some time/effort on a bunch of discing with limited equipment at this location.

Some clover actually responds well to a fall discing. It will come back thicker the following spring.
