I finally got these back last month, took 2 years but they finally got home. Merriam came from the pine ridge just south of Chadron, nebraska and the Kansas double beard came from Coffeyville KS.

Awesome looking mounts!

That Merriam has some good hooks to have come from that area. I have seen two that were comparable. That area is not know for producing big spurred birds. I killed a stud one year from that area. I kick myself in the rear end repeatedly for not mounting that turkey. I probably will never kill a Merriam with spurs that big again.

Nice.

if nfhunter didn't have 3 in front of him that he was trying to figure out which one to shoot, the beard of the one we did know that was a long beard went down and tucked under his breast. and with them in front of us it took a while to figure out which one it was. in the waiting, this bird came in and I was able to get on him and it was shoot on 3 thing. but I shot a tad quick.
