I got some H4831SC this weekend in the Cabela's bargain cave since it was "discontinued"

I can't find anything online that it was discontinued.

Would stink to have work up a new load.

it is identical to H4831 just in a short cut kernel to help with metering. It's a very popular burn rate, no way they are getting rid of it completely.

There would be issues if H4831 went away. Perhaps it was a printer error.

Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

No way they will discontinue H4831 in our lifetime. H4831 is the foundation that Hodgdon Powders is built upon.

If the H4831SC was discontinued, could I just replace with H4831?

I worked up a load for H4831SC, 130 gr. Nosler Partition in a .270 from the Nosler book sometime last year.

Yep only difference is in grain length which helped with metering and load density in short fat cases. Folks were using it for 60 years before someone decided kernel size was a problem.

Probably changed the label or packaging.
