What is the best herbicide for killing grasses in an ICP plot?

Poast plus or clethodim.

Not necessarily with poast plus but can add. Definitely with straight clethodim. The lower the water ph the better gramanicides work.

Many of the grass herbicides recommend a crop oil adjuvant for best results. Just an FYI.

Best place to buy clethodim is from Rural king, less than $50 a gallon. Yes, you will also need a surfactant.

Hey guys. We just recently planted 14 acres of peas. At what point in the growth process should I spray the peas to control the weeds?

I would spray the grass with clethodim when it gets 2-3 inches tall. As far as weeds go, i'm not aware of anything you can spray for weeds that won't kill your pea's, unless they've come up with round-up ready pea's.

We planted IC peas last year. They got about 3' tall and shaded the weeds out. The deer wiped them out just before we planted in the Fall. We didn't even have to spray the field.

same situation for me the first year I planted them but the weeds got worse every year. This year I used a pre-emergent, prowl h2o, and so far so good
