That was my most memorable race at Dega. I just walked up from our seats at the start/finish line when Bobby went airborne. I was at the top of the steps and turned around and heard and saw the melee.
I got to ride the pace car before the race and had my picture made with Bill Elliot when they announced the drivers. Best gift you could give a 12 year old.

I was there with my dad. One of my earliest memories is seeing that car going airborne. I don't know how I remember it. I was seven. Maybe I saw it on tv enough to imprint it. My dad and I later put together a model of Davy's car from that race.

Real men driving real cars. And a few of 'em could drive a less than perfect car to the front because they really were drivers, unlike the whiners out there now. I like Earnhardt Jr but I swear I don't believe God could create a car perfect enough for him.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I would like to see the F1,Indy,Nhra,Nascar,Rally folks have a series to find best racer course feelings would get hurt and the money people would have to be convinced.

They had that back in the 90's but I can't remember what they called it. IROC. I think several NASCAR drivers won it and I think Earnhardt won it multiple times but I could be mistaken.
