Sent you a message but I suppose I'll ask it here too.

I just ordered these. I'm wondering if this is normal or a stress fracture of some type.

central ala,
My experience with Leupold bino's is they will take care of it. Great customer service, even when it was my fault.

My gripe is that they are brand new. Never taken out of the house.

They will be going back to Leupold before they ever go to the field.

I have a pair of the proguide and love them, caught them on sale last year. Lifetime gurantee, they'll replace them.

I have the same ones and would rate them an 8 out of 10. The focus dial is not smooth and tends to stick at a certain point.

I do. Like them but my lens covers broke immediately out of box. Absolute joke with such high quality glass to have such cheap covers!

Listen to the response I just got from Leupold...

Quote:
We have received your product for service and estimate completion in 18 working days with an additional 2-4 weeks for custom work.

Seriously? Nearly 2 months to fix? I suppose I was naive to think they would send me a brand new pair considering mine were brand new. Oh well.

Well, got them back today with a note that they are normal and not in need of repair.
