I joined a club in Choctaw county al in Ararat right on the river. Just wondering if anyone on here hunts that area.

Hunted in the area for years. Definitely has the potential for giants. All depends on neighbors and trigger restraint. One group I know still hunts on the river and they see very little deer throughout the year, but during rut a few giants are killed. i hunted barrytown road area and our numbers were outstanding but we didn't kill as many giants as the river folks.

Good to know. We are right close to Ararat hunting club and from what I hear they shoot some good ones

I used to hunt arrat hunting clubs neighboring land on the river. Didn't see many in the last several years but I and the rest of my family have all killed some sum bitchs in that swamp. It's all clear cut now but when it was the 80 year old oak stand it was awesome

Yea they are still a dog club run dogs on one side of the Rd and stalk hunt the other.

Yea that's what I've heard not a lot of deer but some giant bucks in the swamps
