Sorry you ment fall plots. Yeah CNC I second that any cereal grain and crimson clover and yuchi. Sunn hemp during the summer would really help build that sand up and put nitrogen back for your fall plot and give the deer something to beat on in the hot months.
Part of it will depend on acreage. If these are 1 acre plots or less....then sunn hemp will still likely get wiped out. My field I show in the T&M thread is 2 acres and I still can't grow stuff like that in the summer. They just get wiped out.

I'm meant for fall plots. Have any yall had any luck with durana clover and chicory? Durana needs moisture and proper pH to really do well. A little shade also helps.

I don’t have any experience with chicory. The best thing for sandy soil is large amounts of biomass to help increase organic matter. Sand has very, very little water/nutrient holding capacity without it.
