What is trucking logistics? coordinating loads and stuff? Scheduling pick-up/drop-offs? Sounds kinda interesting and something that could be done from the house.
Dr. B in my experience also helping truckers find something to bring back after they make a delivery. to avoid dead runs.

Saw this on CL, everyday would be different than the one before and you could work with animals all of the time - LIVE ACTION Wildlife Removal Business - $22000 (Cullman) https://huntsville.craigslist.org/for/6108612661.html"Be your own boss! I am retiring from the wildlife removal business with a fantastic customer base. Selling all equipment that you will ever need. Professional Grade traps of all sizes, Cameras, excluders, snares, hog gate, locks and a 7x18 enclosed trailer that is in great condition and acts as a billboard on wheels. Also comes with 1 year of referrals. I am listing this locally first. Would rather it go to someone local. I will then pursue outside area companies. If you ever wanted to be part of self employment, you won't find a better deal. Ready to go." It's a thought...

A good EIFS or Stucco guy is hard to find. yep, I only know of two guys that do good work on EIFS. May be others, but I don't know them.

Mobile Car Wash & Detailing: Trailer, Tank, Pressure washer, detergents, chemicals, supplies. There is a guy in Hoover who has this and he is very busy. He gets appointments and goes to various office parking lots, homes, and even sets up in a parking lot for drive up business (gives a little kickback to the lot owner)
Mobile Windshield Repair: Go to customers to fix chips and small issues before big runs happen.
Driveway Pressure Washing and Cleaning: Trailer, pressure washer, commercial rotary scrubbers, chemicals.
BBQ catering: Pull behind smoker and grill. Cook at the house, the travel to location and serve off the smoker. Could add a fryer too for fish fries.
Assembly Service: When people buy stuff online, then need things assembled or installed, there is a service need out there. Grills, Bikes, Installing in-ground basketball goals, cabinets and furniture.

Combine that with home maintenance , like changing faucets , light fixtures , basically what the man of the house with skills and tools would do. Feller could stay busy I'd think.

There is a real market for this type work...good work and needed but sadly there is a lack of men around to do the work in their own homes. 1. Many guys never learned the basic skills of maintenance so they don't have a clue or even a desire to do it. 2. Too many women are single moms and don't have many of the skills needed to get stuff done. 3. Some families are so busy with work and activities that they would rather just hire it out for simple time issues.

A good EIFS or Stucco guy is hard to find. yep, I only know of two guys that do good work on EIFS. May be others, but I don't know them. I have my doubts that a guy could actually get started in this line of work for $20,000. Assuming he has a truck and trailer, he still has insurance and other expenses before a General Contractor will even consider him. Then they have to foot all expenses until they submit an invoice and hope the Contractor pays net 30. Cost is more prohibitive in this line of work than most people realize. That's why it can be hard for a young guy fresh out of trade school to get started.

There's money out there to be made for someone willing to work and will actually answer their phone. Agreed. Hard to find these days. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I took the morning off installing seamless raingutters to collect on nearly everybody who I have worked for in the past 2 weeks - guess who else doesn't answer the phone or the door or use the self addressed envelope to pay up when the job is done ... A good business would be like Angie's list but the other way around - the business owners get to point out who won't pay and is an irrational pain in the butt .

Flat screen television hanging is very popular right now. Good money in it too. You'd need to be pretty handy running wires behind a wall with a fish tape. Very low entry cost on a business like that.

Guessing it's the same guy, but someone was in our church parking lot last week doing this. Had big tank in the back of a white trailer. Thought it was a pretty great idea! Just another strange thing I experienced in my "front yard" that is the church parking lot. I would probably get back into making skateboards. I used to hand form and use vacuum presses to make skateboard (mostly longboard) decks. A couple skate shops in Huntsville sold a few of my boards. I enjoyed doing it, but just couldn't afford the equipment to actually make good money doing it. Maple and baltic birch veneer didn't cost too much for a board I could sell for $150.
