Jawbone had a friend of mine work that fire at the plant in Selma. Said the fire was so hot they couldn't get close enough to put water on it. Just had to keep it contained. We used super wood it cut parts out of the college with a three way milling machine. It let us cut parts and not dull milling bits. We made trays for the auto mech shop that fit into there toolboxes and held there tool in place. We spent about a week micing out all the wrenches and socket and what not in there tool kits. That's right, Super Wood was what they called it. My function and the other officers there were to keep everyone back about 100 yards because of the intense heat. The only time I can ever recall a fire department (volunteers) stand back with the spectators. When Selma arrived they brought a truck that could shoot water from about that far but it made about as much difference as spitting in the ocean, but that was all that could be done. The shame is the plant was wide open and the product was really taking off. It was a great wood substitute.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Nice table surefire. This is one I made 10 or 12 years ago and it's been sitting outside either at the house or shop ever since. It's not much to look at but it's made with some leftover tongue and groove synthetic decking I had from a porch remodel so you can see its held up well in the weather. Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!
