I made this out of hardie board and sheet cooper. I had a buddy of mine use his press break to fit the copper over the hardie board.

That's right, Super Wood was what they called it. My function and the other officers there were to keep everyone back about 100 yards because of the intense heat. The only time I can ever recall a fire department (volunteers) stand back with the spectators. When Selma arrived they brought a truck that could shoot water from about that far but it made about as much difference as spitting in the ocean, but that was all that could be done.

The shame is the plant was wide open and the product was really taking off. It was a great wood substitute.


Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Nice table surefire. This is one I made 10 or 12 years ago and it's been sitting outside either at the house or shop ever since. It's not much to look at but it's made with some leftover tongue and groove synthetic decking I had from a porch remodel so you can see its held up well in the weather. [img:center]http:/[/img]

I have 2. One is a concrete round. I love it but don't even think about moving it. That thing weighs a ton.

The other is a Lifetime plastic table it has a steel frame with molded plastic benches and table top. It's about 300 or 400 at Lowe's, but worth it. I will not own another wooden one. The plastic is durable with large adults sitting on it, but you can wipe it down easy and move it wherever you want.

Love the synthetic boards, my father n law had some from the late 90s covered at his house, and we used to build a dock at the camp with..
