I purchased 3 last week at the advertised $24.99 price. My wife thought I was nuts. Well, I sold all 3 of them yesterday on Ebay for $100 each. People have gone crazy!

The sad part is I told the wife to put them on there and post them at a minimum bid of $100. She instead posted them at that price period. I was ticked. They sold in less than 3 hours.

Wish I had purchased 100 last week! LOL

I had to look it up. Interesting concept, I could see that working well in saltwater.

It's nothing more than a modified umbrella rig.

I helped a pal last night get situated so he could use his. The rig is very lightweight - 3/8 oz. - but when you add jigheads and swimbaits or other lures, it becomes a roughly 2-ounce or greater bait.

I'm still trying to find one. Wish I'd gotten one from the Rig founder back in July when I saw it.

Fairley Big? 100,000 $. FLW Open on Guntersville. The angler was Paul Elias. 25 + day one 29 + day two 75 + after day three and still had a day to go. My cousin was in 10th place saturday and had a bad day finished 12th. He said on the weigh stage "Im just glad i got beat by the Alabama Rig, and not the Auburn Rig." I would not doubt the 1000.00 dollar story.

Paul Elias won an FLW Open up on Guntersville with over 100 lbs. in four days of competition. Then Dan Morehead won the Everstart Championship on Kentucky Lake with it.

Bullet, are they real Alabama Rig rigs or replicas?

Just curious. I'm looking for the genuine bird for some photography needs.

I heard that Waterfront had knockoffs, but not the original. The local bait store I frequent tried to order some, and they are backordered 6 weeks. They get LOTS of calls every day from people all over the country trying to find them.

Also the Chandelier rigs they sell at Waterfront you can easily slide the tube off the front and use 3 hooked baits in Tennessee, with some other rigs the front would be counted as a teaser so you could only by law use 2 hooked baits on it

How do you tell if it's genuine? I saw one today that was supposed to be original. The guy was making replicas of it.

How do you use it?

You put a lure on the end of each leader. It allows you to mix and match or have 5 of the same lure, which resembles a small school of fish. Most peope I have heard using swimbaits, but some have used crankbaits as well.

I would like to meet the dude that can fish one loaded down with DD22's all day long.

So you troll with this thing? Or you cast it? Steady movement? Work like a jig?

You cast it. That's half the battle. Speed and how you work it is the other half.

Know a guy that won a tourney this weekend in Camden with it;that was the first time I had heard of it;I figured they would be banned for use in tournaments.
