grundan OP 8 point Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 1,997 Madison County	My wife planed 6 squash plants in straw bales. The are bearing good and blooming but the vines aren't real green, more yellow in color. What you think they need? Or maybe to wet?

Maggie123 Doe Joined: Apr 2016 Posts: 1,309 USA	If she did not feed the straw bales with fertilizer for a couple of weeks before planting, wetting every day to get decomposition started you probably need good fertilizer. Be kind to one another and tell the ones you love that you love them often. We never know what tomorrow will bring.

grundan OP 8 point Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 1,997 Madison County	Thanks, we put some miracle grow and epsom salt yesterday. Also put some potting soil on top of bales. The tomatoes in bales are looking great so far.
