The pitch by the Auburn pitcher hits the dirt, the batter pops it up, 1st baseman catches the ball in the air and throws to 3rd for the double play. Umpires did not see it and gave Bama the run instead of Auburn being out of the inning.

I saw that when it happened. But really the umpire's view was blocked. To far for line judge to see clearly. It was the wrong call but without replay I don't see any way it could be called any differently.

I watched the AU vs UA softball game today. The umpire gave the pitcher for Bama so many strikes in the river that she should have been throwing a spinnerbait instead of a ball ..........

This game may never end. 14 innings so far. Going on 6 hours. This is why I hate baseball.

Maybe that embarrassing sweep will make the AU team feel bad enough to send the Bama players postcards from the SEC tournament and wherever they end up in a regional.

It definitely cost them any chance to host a regional, that's for sure. Just losing the series, might have recovered. Getting swept by the worst team in the league, don't deserve it.

Obviously I missed a rule change or don't remember exactly the way it reads. Thought the game should have ended in a tie. In the SEC, Sunday games by rule are suppose to end at a certain time to allow for travel. Maybe that is for when flying is involved. I do know not long ago though, the game is suppose to end at a certain time on Sundays.

When they hit the ball up the middle on Auburn three things can happen.
1--they can miss the ball.
2--they can throw it away.
3--they can catch it and lose it in their uniform.

It gave them two runs. If called correctly, it would have ended the inning, but not only did bammer score on the play, but they scored another run later in the inning.

I guess you didn't see the double play bama turned that the ump called safe at 1st ....guy was out clearly the ump called him safe and a run scored for Auburn . I went to the Friday night softball game between bama and auburn , that was the worst ump i have ever seen calling behind the plate ....it was embarrassing .

I saw that and it gave AU one run. The other missed call gave bammer two. That net one run for bammer made all the difference between AU winning in regulation or going into extra innings.

And yes, I've been watching a lot of AU softball lately since one of my children's schoolmates was Kendall Veach, and the umpiring behind the plate has been very erratic. It seems to favor certain pitchers, but not necessarily certain teams.
