If any of y'all get out there be wary of the big water areas. That wind will follow the channel in places and will blow upstream in places. The river can get wrong side out pretty quick like that.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

You ain't just a woofin. Between Signal point and the river bridge is a really bad spot. Below the dam gets pretty ugly too. It'll be blowing upstream from way below the dam to Brown's Creek' The big bend in the river at Guntersville proper will be rough

My favorite launch was always Marshall County Park #2. They changed the rules and now only campers at the park can use that launch. I mostly fished within a half mile of the park when I put in there and usually caught all the big bream I wanted. Now, in order to fish those places the 2 closest ramps are at each end of Warrenton causeway and if the wind gets up you got a rough, and sometimes dangerous, trip back to the ramp. Sucks!

Do you get your boat fixed Wiley? Yep. Dremel tool cut the key out of the crankshaft just enough to tap a new key in good and tight with a small hammer and I punched the other half out of the flywheel. Didn't buy a new flywheel nut but I put blue Locktite on it and torqued it to 105 ftlbs. Got 2 spare Woodruff keys for it too. I ended up buying 3 new punch sets at Harbor Freight that I've been needing for years so the total cost was about $100 to get back on the water. Damn little keys were $10 each including shipping Remounted the transducer for the new Helix 7 to the center of the hole shot plate and used Lexel to hopefully seal screw holes where others had mounted transducers over the years. If it don't leak I'll mount the other plastic block over that area and mount the Lowrance transducer to the block. No more holes in the transom. If it does still leak I gotta jack it up off the trailer and check under the bunks. AND if it leaks I'll leave whatever water is in it at the ramp so when it's on the trailer I'll hopefully see where it's coming out.

My favorite launch was always Marshall County Park #2. They changed the rules and now only campers at the park can use that launch. That sucks for anyone wanting to fish that side of the river in that area without having to make a long run. Seems like for a county park it would be open to the public instead of just the campers there. Wind on Wheeler from the stumps to Brown's Ferry, and then from there to Elk, darn sure isn't a walk in the park. Can get pretty hairy darn quick.

I stayed out till 1100 and the whitecaps started rolling so I loaded up and left Honeycomb. The big bend in the river was wrong side out when I crossed the big bridge.
And, the boat didn't leak a drop, ran like a champ but I think I gotta put the Helix transducer back on the transom. The side imaging didn't look right and I couldn't pin down why it looked that way.

Looks REAL rough out there. Didnt see a single boat on the main river while ago.
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.
