I saw a Chilton county gobbler mounting a hen in a field at 6:45pm this evening. I was driving home from work and saw them. Late in the day. too late for the season!

I've always said that the season should be open whenever they are gobbling (no set dates).
But then again I think about how much sleep I would lose because I'd still be chasing them.

i got a bird to gobble june 1st of last year. He was out in my hayfield and i pulled over and called and he gobbled twice
