Thinking something roughly in the 3-15 range. Meopta Meostar 3-12X50 illuminated #4 $1200ish Leupold just released the VX5HD line 3-15X44 Duplex Firedot $1000 Steiner has the 3-15X50 with a #4 reticle $700 I am leaning towards the Steiner based on cost and the suggestion of ColeT. Any input or suggestions for my needs/wants? Wanting something nice but don't have Kahles/S&B money.

Probably the easiest scope to get behind I've even seen. I would be interested to hear your opinion when you get it, especially if the reticle is thick enough in low light.

I have 20/20 vision and being young it should work out well. Personally I like a simple reticle like a #4. March Optics is now offering a 1-10X scope. The world is our oyster for Optics right now.
