I've been planting the walmart Dunstan Chestnuts for several years now, all have done good and start producing nuts in just a couple of three years.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I've planted their Dunstan trees from Walmart but the deer down here will eat them right to the ground. I planted some American chestnuts from Washington state but they aren't doing well, the leaves burnt off like they were in a drought, trying to keep them alive.

I had the same issue, the deer won't stay off them. I need to buy some more and cage them.
