Austin all you need are your tags up to 3 and habitat stamp. All the items can be bought online and printed. You will have a physical tag that needs to be on your person while hunting. When you kill you simply punch holes in tag such as date and sex. It's very simple to do and it's been my understanding the tag does not need to be affixed to the turkey.

You DO have to attach it to the bird if you leave the turkey with tag in your possesion at any point..

When we were there, we had access to buy a permit, kill a turkey, tag it, then go buy another permit. As far as apppying the tag, I've always been overly cautious to do what's right. Good catch on the tagging - Squeaky.

Also available at wal mart Are you sure? That hasn't always been the case. Walmart didn't sell them last time I hunted there. Maybe it's changed, but NE seems pretty backwards for hunters. Only state I hunted where even #8 tss was illegal. They also won't honor my cc permit.

Walmart was a no go the first time we went. I would buy online and print if available.
Ask BC about us borrowing a computer and getting up in the middle of the night to buy tags because their website was down after the Walmart trip.
