Kountry Kabin in Hightogy has good catfish. AND they add a baked potato if you get the stick of butter as a side item. grin

If anybody knows of a place, where is some really good BBQ in Lamar Co.?

Jumbo House in Columbia, TN
Great Cheeseburger.
I had to take three aspirin when I left just as a precaution.

Used to like to go to Ezell's in Lavaca back when I hunted near Penington on the Tombigbee. Anybody remember the honky-tonk Pier 2??

Pass Big Mikes on thee way to the camp, always packed. Stopped once and was told it was an hour and a half wait, haven't stopped since.
Me and my boys are partial to the Shell station in Grove Hill, good food at a fair price.

Yeah, it's on exit 69 at Hwy 113, Barnett's Crossroad exit. They have really good gravy biscuits, too.

Have you tried Google?

I almost got knocked off by a barge that came too close one night at ezell's. I hunted up there around Pennington as well back in the day.

I believe that is Dunns gas station. They can fry up some pretty good catfish and the breakfast is good too. I stop in there every now and then.

I always stay at that Hampton Inn right there on the bay when I am down there on business and have been meaning to stop in there.

Speaking of out of the way places, Bozo's Grocery in Pascagoula, MS is pretty damn good.

X2. Market by the bay is much more laid back and friendly than bozos though. Good food at both though.
