I have a garden surrounded by cinder blocks and have grown 2 squash per mound before. But wanted to know if I can do 3 to get a higher yield. Thanks

Yes. Higher yields take higher amounts of fertilizer too.

With my raised beds I don't do mounds. I have 3 zucchini and 2 crookneck yellow in a 4x4 area. It also has corn and beans (3 sisters.)

If you want high yields forget the single hill method..plant them and thin them in a row to 6" apart....after second picking and they start to yellow just a little hit them with a light dose ammonia nitrate and stand back...
Learned it from the produce farmers around me. Of course they use drip irrigation in row and liquid fert but this is what they said I should do. if you have the room to plant rows 36" apart they will cover the middles and no weeds.
