Nice fish! Tell us about landing it on that little pole.

Nice fish! Tell us about landing it on that little pole. Quite the battle. She wrapped around the anchor line on the pvc ring in the pond. Lucky that she came off of it. I had hooked a medium sized bream on a wiggler under a cork and I saw her zoom in and hit it about 5 feet off the bank. I waited for her to get a good bite on it and took up the slack. It was on! That Shakespeare microspin is a tough little reel. She made about 3 good runs before I got her to the edge and lipped her. This is the second big fish to hit a hooked bream in the last week. My wife also had one break her line Thursday that hit a worm under a cork and I had a break off that hit a Bobby Garland grub on a 1/32 jighead. I was trying to catch a small bream to put on a slip cork rig I was planning on throwing in the middle of the pond. Been feeding the bream pretty regular in the pvc ring. Bream and bass have been pretty aggressive in that spot.

Nice fish and quite the battle! Congrats on a beautiful fish!
Question on the bream/bass...do you actually hook the bass or does the bass swallow the bream and your are essentially bringing the bass in from the bream being in the belly of the bass?
Ya'll are just overthinking it now

Nice fish. What is the purpose of the PVC ring in the lake? keeps the floating fish food from drifting away?
We will burn that bridge when we get there

The bass was hooked. Actually saw the bream get unhooked during the fight.

Nice fish. What is the purpose of the PVC ring in the lake? keeps the floating fish food from drifting away? This ^^^^^^^ Guy that I bought some grass carp from recommended it. We were discussing feeding the bream to put weight on the bass. Told me I could spend $600 on a feeder after building a pier to mount it on, or just spend less than $40 on a ring.
