It's a beautiful morning here in Monroe co. It's actually kinda cool out. If there was ever a morning for a turkey to gobble this is it. This morning is probably going to be our last chance to get on a gobbler this season. If we don't we still had a great time.

I'm sitting at the listening spot. I hope he sounds off close to where he did a couple days ago. Good luck!

Just got to my listening spot. Had the best hunt all year yesterday and shot my best Alabama bird to date. Good luck all looks like this morning is going to be nice.

Here in Coosa county. Haven't heard a gobble here all season. I'm expecting more of the same.

This makes 5 mornings we hunt and still no gobbles on our place. This is very concerning to me. Talked to our 2 nieghbors to the north yesterday and neither one of them heard a gobble all season. I sure hope things get better next year. My son just told me he had a great time but turkey hunting sucks. Lol. I told him if he could hear that gobbler gobble close enough that it makes his chest shake he would think different. Good luck with the rest of yalls season, our Alabama season is done. I will hunt a few times in La and maybe get one.

Wouldn't doubt that one bit, I've only heard one gobble twice there all season

Heard the same bird, hit the ground and didn't say a word. I was in the woods not saying a word. After a while I figured he wasn't coming my way so I eased out heading for the truck and the sucker was in the pasture. He must have my picture under his wing. Sorry joker

called up a boss before 7 this AM and the guy didn't feel like he had a clean shot, could have killed him twice at 35 yards.. smh.. 7th turkey I've had within 50 calling for other people in the last couple of weeks that haven't been killed..... frustrated is an understatement

Good job, Gib!! Way to hang in there after most folks would have gone on for a biscuit. Was he gobbling early or did you strike him up late morning?

agree with bamaeyedoc... I had a cpl seasons with heart breaking misses by others and then I just solo'd it for a while until I felt I could trust someone else to be behind the gun

I'm not sure doc, I was way off on a really hot bird early and had someone on the neighboring property come in blowing a crow call every breath at him. He shut right on up then so I just decided to find a likely spot back near the truck. This one was 75 yards off the food plot and came right in.
