I don't know if this has ever been discussed, but how many rods do yall have for bass fishing? I take 9 out when I fish and they are all different lengths and different gear ratios on the reels and all have different lures on them. Also can you ever have too many on the boat?

I used to have way too many. I'd just snatch them up if I found a good deal at a yard sale or store or whatever. I think I had like 25+. Couple years ago I assessed and cut way back, and sold/swapped/bought exactly what I wanted. Now I've only got 10 total:

3 baitcasters, all Lew's. 1 M and 2 MH.
1 HEAVY cat/saltwater rod. Abu 7000 series on a heavy ugly stik tiger rod.
2 matching saltwater/cat spinning rigs.
2 matching ML pflueger spinning rigs, for bream/crappie/light bass
2 L spinning rigs, for trout and bream

I much prefer having a smaller arsenal of exactly what I need, rather than a huge mess of random rods.

You don't want to know (neither does my wife).

20 or 30. I usually fish with four or five, though. Need to cull some.

I don't think I could guess within +- five. Bu I'll try. 35? I use about 10 of them. I have retired about 10, and then there are the ones I bought and have yet to use, and a few I never planned to use. Old bamboo fly rod (no reel), fiberglass with pflueger casting reel, etc.

I have 15in the boat. All total I have no clue. Most of the time I will use every one of them in a trip.

I carry 15 in the boat. All hammer rods rigged with pfleugers, shimanos and a couple demo lews.

Then I have a few more that I use for dam fishing.

Bit of advice. When you take you two year old with you keep all the high end rods off the deck. Bit of a conversation took place when I looked back and my son had a 300.00 kistler over the edge of the boat. I jumped back and got it from him. My wife started chewing me out. Before I thought. I asked if she wanted to replace a 300.00. Rod and a 200.00 reel. She crossed her arms and said you told me it was 50.00. Y'all can guess how the rest of the day went.

Probably around 30. 10 for salt/inshore fishing, the rest is for Bass..

Well before someone thought they needed them more than I did last year I had about 7 rods and reels for Bass fishing and 4 rod and reels for Crappie fishing. They got stolen while we were trying to get moved into our new place. Right now I've got 3 for bass and 2 for Crappie - building them back up is terrible - not to mention tackle as well smh.

I usually keep 8-10 but normally only use 2 maybe 3 of them. But then again I don't fish much.

I keep 8-10 on deck all time and at least 6-7 in the locker. Total around 25-28
