Anyone ever hunted there before? Is the hunting any good? Had a good friend selected for the second quota hunt 8th-16th and invited me along.

It's not worth driving over there for it, especially just to watch a friend shoot.

I've killed or called in for others about a dozen birds on it. It's very good habitat, but it's not very big, and you can literally drive the entire place in a truck. There isn't really an area that you couldn't hear every bird behind a gate, from the parking spot. I used to love hunting it, but it went down hill quickly about 4-5 years ago. Everybody and their brother started hunting it. When I'm down that way now, I focus on other wmas. I haven't stepped foot on it in a couple years. Quota hunts are actually more crowded than open permit, because about half the quota shows up every morning.

Appreciate it. Wasn't sure if anyone would actually respond on a public forum but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. I hadn't heard of it until he mentioned going and he's never set foot on it either so we didn't know what to expect. I decided on staying close to home but he's got all week and I'll be interested in how it turns out for him.
