Picked up one chambered in .270 for my 8 year old son. He shot it several times and loves it. Just need to upgrade the scope and find a load that it likes

Very good actions from what I gather. I've never owned one but would like one in 375 H&H for some unknown reason. I guess in case I want to hunt Bigfoot.

I have three Mark X rifles, including a 375 H & H. I love these guns. They are a "commercial 98" action and the bolts are actually interchangeable with the original Mauser 98. The 375 has a beautiful piece of wood with a lot of fiddleback in the grain. Will put 3- 300 grain Hornady RN bullets into an inch at 100 yards.

Always have heard only good about them. More info:

Quote:
Interarms -- here in Alexandria VA -- sold both Zastava and Whitworth rifles that were made in Kragujevac Yugosalvia -- now Serbia -- but shipped only as actions or barreleled actions.

The Whitworth company in Manchester England, bought actions, rebarreled them IIRC and gave the actiosn more final finishing. They are thus a bit smoother and desirable. From Manchester, they sold some barreled actions to Interarms which did the restocking here with Italian made stocks and marketed the finished rifles in the US. Whitworth restocked others for sale elsewhere.

Most were made in standard calibers like the .30-06 and .270 and the .375 H#H and a few .300 H&Hs.

Over the years I've owned two in three-seven-five, as they say in the dark continent. Very nice rifles, good shooters.

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Let's quit talking about 375s, making me want one to stop those does when they charge.

While not unpleasant to shoot, after about 15 or so rounds the fun meter starts going way down pretty fast. I much prefer my 35 whelen.
