Congrats on the limit! Some years they gobble better than others, but that is strange to get a limit and never hear a gobble. Are you hunting an area with a lot of people around? Lots of human activity in an area cuts down on gobbling.

Been out three times now and not one single gobble. Congrats on your season.

Quick question. As a "learning" turkey hunter, how did you know where to set up? I hunted fresh sign..example. I would see fresh tracks in a mudhole or road and hunted the area where I hoped/figured they would roost the next morning. I just soft called every 15-20 minutes. Listen for drumming or wings dragging the ground. Saw fresh scratchings and did same as above. Trick is I know this place is loaded with birds. They didnt gobble at all so I just got where they were and soft yelp..purr..scratch in the leaves be real still and patient. It was old school kinda hunting for me this year. pcp..No houses around mostly big hardwood timber and some mine reclamation Thanks for the congrats guys

Really strange they don't gobble at all. I live in a rural area with houses every few hundred yards along most roads and the turkeys there very seldom gobble. Go down the road a few miles and they sometimes gobble good. I've never encountered a place like yours. But it looks like you have figured out how to kill them, so congrats again.

Congrats I haven't shot one in about 5 years. It doesn't help that yekrut jinxed me a couple of years ago for running my mouth. I've called a few in for friends but had no luck connecting myself. In due time.
I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern
