In bad shape here startin the am throwing up and havin to grab my crutches due to my ankle still being the size of a baseball from a really bad sprain...but that ain't stopping me from the 1.5 hour drive to hunt these jokers

The bird I'm after finally started gobbling about 715 and headed straight for me. He went silent and I heard him drumming and thought finally. Then the dirty demon gobbled again and moved on past me. He was within what I guessed to be approximately 75 yards of me. It was cat and mouse for a bit and them ol bitty started her squaking and he went her direction giving me the middle toe as he walked towards her. DEMON BIRDS!!!!!!!

First hunt since everything went down last week. I just enjoyed being away from everything and being out in the woods today and thinking about my dad. For the first time this year I didn't hear a bird. I was thinking about dad and he was never a turkey hunter. He was a squirrel slayer though and I bet I saw 10-12 bushytails today. More squirrels that I can remember seeing on a turkey hunt in my life! Thanks Dad! I know it was you!!
