Several years ago killed one just before he flew up. He was following a hen, she flew up and he walked to his roost he had used the day before. Hard to kill one in that last hour unless u r where he is headed to roost.

I killed one as it flew up and over my head to roost one time. He stayed out in a bean field and wouldn't walk near any woods. I was sitting 20 yards into the woods.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Sometime between 6 and 6:30 but I don't recall the actual time. Crawled across a field to bust a jake with my buddy behind doing some calling, and finally just yelling "SHOOT HIM NOW!" He shot one earlier in the day and we wanted to double.
My wife was mildly upset since I was late for supper with her and another couple but that stuff happens in turkey season.

Killed one I got tired of seeing strut around in a pasture at 635 one evening in Tennessee, did the ol belly crawl up on him and popped up and shot. Killed his buddy almost in the exact same spot at 6:45 the next morning.
