Did the healthcare not pass because: 1) It was Swamp Rinocare 2) The freedom caucus was not being rediculous
I listen to Hanity on my drive home. Before the bill was presented he spoke with both sides. Ryan told him that everyone was on board with the bill. The freedom caucus & Paul Ryan said that they haven't even seen the bill yet so that had no idea what Ryan was talking about.
It seems to me that the failure of this bill is a direct reflection of the lack of leadership from Ryan. I am hearing the freedom caucus getting blasted, but all of the republicans should have been ON BOARD with what ever bill was presented to the country. The GOP needs to present a united front. It doesn't mean that they all have to agree, but those differences should be iron out behind closed doors.

They can't just put the Jeanie back in the bottle and go back to things exactly like it was, unfortunantly. The Ryan version was too much like ObomaCare for the GOP to pass. I for one am glad it failed. I beleive they can put a better plan together. .02

From my limited understanding it did not pass because people don't want a revised Obamacare we want the government out of Healthcare period and luckily a few people up there realize what their voters want ^^^ This. This was Trump and Ryan's attempt to move toward single payer. They both knew full well what they were pushing and had full knowledge it was not what was promised. You can't continually call Trump a genius and then say he was tricked into supporting Obama care lite. He said he was going to cover everyone and he meant it. I want government out of the health care business.

Yep. Just lose the dang mandate and the healthcare.gov market place. Open insurance up for sales across states lines and let people chose the policy that FITS them and their families best.
It is really pretty dang simple.
Change to back how it WAS but allow insurance to operate in a free market across state lines. The competition will lower costs IMO.

Ryan screwed up. They had plenty of time to work out a good bill that could have been hashed out in committees before going t othe floor. It should have been worked out between the GOP behind closed doors. What ever was presented should have had 100% GOP support. Not 100% agreement on everything (that will never happen), but 100% support.

I'm still on board with a single payer system.
So you just want to let the government handle it? Should work out really well. It is really simple. Kinda sheds light on how much power the donors and lobbyists have instead of us. Need to limit political donations to citizens and the time for term limits is overdue.

Selling across state lines isn't complicated either. California has no more business telling its citizens what coverage to buy than any other government entity. But it is what those in California wanted. We are having the same debate here in Alabama on whether or not insurance companies should be forced to provide coverage for children with autism.

I'm still on board with a single payer system.
True single payer is where the health care system is totally private and each single person pays for their own health care - directly to their own health insurance company and their own health care providers. I am totally in favor of that.

I believe the whole idea of the Constitution was for extremely limited government. I know that is a glaringly simplistic statement, but it's true.
Government has NO BUSINESS doling out healthcare or ANY of the social programs that exist today.
I know I'm a relic, but The Constitution AND The Federalist Papers enumerate and expand on topics such as this, respectively.
They should be a part of your daily reading list if you are a Conservative.

Selling across state lines is not that simple. Each state has it's own set of rules and regulations governing healthcare insurance policies. ie California requires more coverage than Alabama does. So BCBS of Alabama could not charge the Alabama rate for California coverage.
I'm still on board with a single payer system. Ding, ding, ding you hit the nail on the head!! The States need to be out of the insurance business also!! That is why BCBS basically has a monopoly in Alabama! One should be able to by as much or as little as they want from whomever they want. No jurisdictional requirements that favor the insurance company.
