I fished in blue eye today. Trolled for 2 hrs. Not 1 crappie. The water is surprisingly clear for that place. With 73,248 campers along the banks, I'm surprised Blue Eye isn't practically void of Crappie by now. My Daddy used to keep a Pontoon in a slip at the old 78 Boat Dock (Where Sunset Cove is now). All he did as far as outdoor sports was Crappie fish. He passed away several years ago and I would pass lot's of good Crappie water to get there so I don't plan to fish it now. Send me a PM and I'll pass along a few of his spots to you if you're interested. I reckon it would feel good to know that someone was still hitting those spots and hopefully catching some slabs.

Is the water up yet? It can be tough until it does.
Bridge pilings, and rip-rap until then.

They have been filling it up all week. Friend told me today that he heard it would be full pool by april 7th...

My buddy who use to wear them out every weekend from march thru october has been having a hard time getting good numbers too. I really dont think he's had a limit but once or twice the last two years. He does catch some huge slabs but just not numbers anymore. He swears its the spider riggers who have about wiped them out.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
