Go see a Dr or chiropractor?

It put me down for about three days last winter in my right leg, but a shot and some muscle relaxers from the Dr cleared it up. It is back in my left leg now and isn't as bad as it was the first time, but it is starting to wear on me.

Go to chiro. He will teach you exercises too. I use a tens unit to kill the pain too.

You need an MRI of the lumbar. It could be a disc and a chiropractic adjustment could possibly make it worse.

I have a herniated disc and have used a chiropractor for 15+ years. I still have my days but he has kept me from having surgery. If the disc ever ruptures though then your looking at only 1 option. I highly recommend the chiro.

Traction at my chiropractor has helped my herniated disk a bunch. Hopefully keeping me from having surgery.

Take your billfold out of your back pocket. That causes mine.

I haven't carried one in my back pocket for 20+ years.

I have it off and on and I find that routine stretching helps relieve mine. It takes a week or two of doing it everyday. Just something as simple as bending over and touching my toes really helps.

I suffered from it for a few years (daily). Tried the chiropractor, stretching, inversion table ect, nothing worked. Finally bought a pair of insoles from barefoot science. After wearing them for about 3 weeks the pain started to ease up. By the 5th week it was gone completely. Have not had any trouble in over 5yrs now.

Have had it a few times and walking relieves pain. First 100-200 yards hurts but then begins to ease up. Usually just a mile or so helps.

A lot of sit ups and hamstring stretching helps alleviate sciatic pain.

Also what the PT people call "piriformis" stretches.

Also, balance your whole weight on a baseball or softball onto your sciatic nerve on the side of your buttocks - hurts like heck but it really works.

Good luck.
