Is anybody here a member of Big Swamp hunting club in Society Hill? Are they still a dog club? Do you have a contact for them.

Big swamp club isn't there anymore Mr. Gooden died and so did the club.

That's a shame. I hunted there every wkend my dad and grandad were members.

I will never forget all of the huge bucks brought into the skinning shed behind Torberts store.
Or all of the shirt tails cut each week in front of it.

Pretty sure people started leasing out from under Mr. Gooden, then there treasurer went around and leased up a lot of the Torbert property out from under him and started his own club. The club he started is still there but he has passed also. Once he lost that core land was piece by piece gone then best I know was all back up for lease when he became to old to do it.
