God bless, Trox. I hope things work out best for you.
Also, take BeerBelly's advice to heart. Protect yourself, document, get a good attorney.

Dang hate to hear that, prayers your way. I will say this I was facing the same thing 1.5 years ago. And it was awful and I thought it would never work out went through 40 days of hell and the temp. hearing after which it resolved so it can work out. If you see its going to be an ugly fight get the best lawyer you can afford, as the courts in Alabama are stacked against the fathers from the get go. Ours was difficult because we have a special needs child, I was getting hammered for 75% of my salary and the default visitation was 4 days a month 8 hours on Christmas or something like that. Not sure of your situation but it can be an awful nasty fight that isn't fair so be prepared if it goes that way.

Hate to hear that. Prayers for the Lord to minister to both of you and the children in the way that he sees fit.

18 years is a long time and a lot of investment to lose. I would do everything I could to try and save the marriage, but I don't know what your situation is. We will celebrate our 40th anniversary in Dec, and there have been a few times I questioned myself, but I'm hanging in there now. Buddy you just don't know the sacrifices I've made and how much I've tried for the kids. She has been through alot losing both her parents 5 years ago but her way of coping is drinking. Her drinking and selfish ways are outta control. She got home at 3am Saturday morning and 11:30 Saturday night. She started a job back 5 or 6 months ago and it has went downhill since.I urged her to get a job and get outta the house. It backfired on me.She worked from 2-8 pm Friday night.Got home at 3am.Daughter and I had to be at the ballpark at 9:30 Sat morning for pictures.Wife had to be at work at 11am..After trying to call her a few times on our way home we got here to find her still asleep at 10:30am and having to be at work at 11..She went on into work and got off at 8pm..She got home at 11:30..There's so much more to it but that is only a small speck of the chit I deal with.I don't know what else to do.Yall say a prayer for her as well that the good lord will get her on a new path away from alcohol.I told her Saturday night if she keeps going the way she's going she will be dead in 10 years. Her mom died at 58 from a massive heart attack and her dad has multiple strokes before he got killed in a motorcycle accident at 56..I'm not perfect but I have been a damn good husband and father.I can't do it anymore.
