Anyone have one? Pros, cons? I have the hots for one in 300 BLK. The numbers with Barnes tac-tx look pretty good. Be a good light short range brush gun deer and / coyote smasher/truck gun. Looks like it would be a heck of a youth gun too. What is that do-da that sticks out on the trigger, safety device? Something like the Savage accu trigger? I don't like crap like that, I just want a regular ol trigger, I know how to use those.

I got a accutrigger that Brent or somebody worked on that's mighty fine pal. They can be made nice.

I have been contemplating the exact same gun myself, mainly for use as a suppressed youth rifle. My son is only 3 years old so I have some time to get this done. Let me know what you think if you get your hands on one.

Let me know what you think if you get your hands on one. Will do . With those Barnes tac bullets doing 2300+ it would handle deer out to 250-300yds. It's bout like a 30-30 and with good bullets it should be a dandy little bush hog. Or you could go sub-sonic for stealthy work. Interesting little gun for sure. I just don't know bout that goofy accu safety gizmo.

The trigger doesn't adjust as well as the accu-trigger. I have taken the adjustment screw completely out of three of those triggers and still couldn't get the pull weight below 4.5 lbs. The trigger reset spring is too heavy. You can swap it out with a lighter spring and get a much broader adjustment range. You can also clip 2-3 coils of of it, but I hate cutting springs unless their is no other option available.
Don't worry about the safety blade. You really won't notice it after shooting it a few times. I treat it like a 2 stage trigger. I know when the "take up" stops, a little more pressure and the rifle fires.

I almost , and still might, build a 300blk upper. Any way, I figured up a load using Sierra 125 pro hunters for about 35 cents a round. A man could afford to shoot that and have a good bullet while doing it.

A buddy of mine has one. He loves it. He's an old man and mainly hunts out of ground blinds so he wanted something short and handy. He killed a couple of deer this year and I think he dirt napped a coyote with it.

This is not a jab by any means, but it is one of the only rifle/cartridge combos I could get my daughter to not flinch on. Extremely light kick, compares to an AR or better. Awesome peashooter for youth, ladies, or grizzled old shoulders that want fo shoot all day and not ache the next day.
Aim. Breathe. Squeeze.

IDOT pointed me toward Freedom Munitions for ammo. They have a lot of options and some are reasonably priced.

If the Ammo comes down in price, I see a lot more folks buying into this round. I am working on converting .223 to 300blk to see how the cost sorts out. The Cheapest I have found locally is 17.00 for 20 made by S&B and that only lasted a day! Fun to shoot and great when suppressed but Ammo cost are crazy. Most Wal-Mart's have 300blk Remington umc ammo at $15. But youcan order from freedom munitions online and get it for much cheaper. Or keep your eyes on cabelas and midway online. They usually have good deals. I have seen the s&b go for around $7 a box.

I built one one an AR platform and love to shoot it. So far I have found mine like 110gr Vmax and 125gr Varmageddon. I usually convert half of my 556 brass over to 300BLK. I don't mind the time doing it because it's a hobby for me.
I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.
