If you catch a fish that could be a record what would be the quickest way to have them weighed on certified scales. If I lucked up one day and broke a record it would be nice to know what to do just in case. Plus you would have a better chance of keeping alive.

go to yer local grocery store that will have certified scales and weigh it, take the names of a couplea three witnesses. Been there done that several times.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

IGFA certified scales have to be recertified , I think I remember, every year or maybe two years. I kept some for a number of years.
I think my wife and I have broken prolly 40 IGFA records, mostly fly rod.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
