Well...'Huntress tells me the temp touched 27°.
The figs got bitten pretty badly, probably lost one of the three. Satsumas got it a little bit, but not bad. Apples and pears that were in bloom were apparently unaffected.
That brought me up to 436 chilling hours for the year, but with so much already in bloom, that last little bit hurt more than helped.

DOA it's interesting to see that your fig's got bit back. It got down in the 20's 2 nights here, 26 and then 22. Our figs are still trying to leaf out and don't look bit at all. But then yours probably already had leaves on it and ours just have green swollen buds.

My figs had leaves half as big as your hand and they are toast. Hopefully they will push out new growth but the fig crop has not been good when this has happened before.

My figs have not even attempted to leaf out yet and I am thankful. Hope they will come on out!

I think 2 are going to be alright. The one that I'll likely lose I think had some kind of issue going on with it, anyway. The top 8-10 inches of the whip was a different color/texture than the rest of the wood, before it started leafing out. It was a darker gray, almost black.

Ok I'm new to this to. Can you give an example of a fungicide I would get at a local store like lowes? Also, it's ok to eat fruit that's been sprayed with the fruit tree spray that you spray ever 14 days? I also heard you spray something on them in the winter time?

Is there anything your supposed to spray on apple and pear trees? If so, what and when? I've got new ones that I just planted this fall that I'm fertilizing with about a pound of triple 8 every 2 months. Is this ok?

Google "home fruit spray guide" and some extension articles will come up with some very detailed info about fruit pest management, the university of mizzou has a good publication.
