It's not higher birth rates in my opinion. It's the fact they are much more open and vocal in their faith than most professing Christians. If we'd evangelize , and live out our faith the way Jesus told us to, the numbers would be different. You're right, it's not just birth rates, it's the fact that they force their religion on people with a very real gun to their head. Ravi Zacharias said it like this in a conversation with a Muslim leader, "Take your foot off the neck of your people and see how fast Islam grows." I guess you could say that the threat of physical violence and death is being open and vocal about your faith. However, it's less about 'evangelizing' and more about perceived growth through fear.
