My Dad turns 83 tomorrow, so I bought him a bottle of booze and Mrs. Irish and I made he and my mom some homemade lasagna. We cooked the sauce for about 4 hours today and I used 3 different kinds of cheese: Mozzarella, Ricotta, and Parmesan. As usual Mrs. Irish made one of her homemade salad dressings. This time it was a field greens salad with purple onions and tomatoes. We had a New York Cheesecake for dessert.

Looks great, cooking your sauce down long like that makes a difference. Reminded me I cooked Parmesan Pomodoro with leftover Parmesan rinds Wednesday night. It was delicious. Love a good Italian pasta meal
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Dang. Now that makes the lasagna I had at olive garden last night look like soggy dog shucks.

Love a good Italian pasta meal True. Making good food has to be a labor of love for yourself and your family, or you just might as well have a sandwich. You have to be all in and enjoy what you are doing and enjoy the results too. Lasagna is quite labor intensive, but when it's good, it is about the best Italian meal out there, plus the leftovers are easy to heat up and better than the original.
