Hate to hear that. Lot of thefts going on in Colbert County at the present time. Look toward the mountain areas if you can. Seems meth making has folks stealing anything they can get their hands on to buy it. Most of the thieves I have seen doing residential breaking and entering have been white and do it during the middle of the day..

Teacher one, I live on Colbert Heights mountain , it was done between 10:20-11:05 am I work there. Wagnon Mountain Road has been the home range of several thieves arrested lately. On the mountain, thieves will be white. I will ask all my friends there to keep a look out for you. I hate to tell you, but you will probably never lay eyes on them again. The local residents now are a lot of poor white trash that will steal nickels off a dead mans eyes. I can't stand a thief. B

When you reported the theft, be sure and ask the Law Enforcement Agency taking the report, that the serial numbers have been entered into NCIC. Most of the time, meth head steals gun, sells it for a 1/4 of worth, (or trades it) then the buyer, usually low level dealer moves it again, then that person gets hard up and either pawns it or gets into the hands of someone who gets nervous about it and has it checked. When they are pawned the numbers are automatically run. This, or someone else gets pinched and wants to bank some Law Enforcement love.
