Plenty of funeral homes will provide a paupers burial for a minimum of money. Still not exactly free though. Cremation is cheaper but I don't know how they feel about that. Mexicans are real hinkey about death and dead people.

For those making jokes you have some further growing up to do. If it is a grave say prayer and respect a fellow human being, from the info we have at hand thats exactially what the people that were there were doing. God bless.

The money aspect isn't what I have a question about. Will they bury someone that they have no proof of who or how they died?

Luckily, I've had to deal very little with funerals in my life. I'm dumb when it comes to funerals and I hope it stays that way.

I hope it stays that way for you. My career had me dealing with death in every phase at times. I've held people while they died and I've help pick up pieces at gruesome scenes. None of it is pleasant, especially having to attend the autopsy of an infant. The who and how of an unattended death is supposed to be the coroner's job, but if he isn't called I guess the migrant community handles it themselves. I imagine that the fear of deportation only adds to them not wanting authorities involved.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

This is simple. If it's a body, after it's removed just put a nice cross in the ground. They'll appreciate that and not kill you for disrespecting their dead family member

Great idea. I would do this out of respect and because it is a nice gesture. I would inscribe "Vaya con Dios" (Go with God or God be with you) on it. Even if the hermanos never see it, you'll know you did a good thing.

Since they know you saw them it will likely be a long time till they are back. By that time have the ground back in the exact same condition as they left it, and cover with a crap load of leaves. Like someone said, stick a cross in it, and they may not be able to figure out anything is missing.

Might be an interesting application for the old "game camera way up in a tree" set to video with lithium batteries. Would make for some strange footage no doubt.

I like the "leave a cross" idea, but definitely leave some weatherproof means of explaining where their loved one is at.
