Interested in where you going with this
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

I hunt the Eastern edge of Clarke county. Usually seeing activity about Jan 18th MLK day. Good rut about the end of January into first week of February. Started a little late this year and ended a little early. Still had some activity going last day of season. Warm front screwed it up in my opinion. Still rutting just not moving as much. A book published in 1979 by DCNR (so the study was prior to 1979) shows 30 animals examined determined the peak rut was Feb 10 with an average fawning date of Aug. 29. So, by your statement, if the rut has moved for y'all in the last 40 years it has been by only a few days if your observations are correct.

Rut is still on at our camp in tensaw. We really didn't see much of a rut this year. Most of the action was at night. We usually start seeing bucks roaming around the last weekend in January. We have had a doe decoy in front of the camp house for the last 5 years. This morning a guy went out there to check cameras and she was on the ground with her head knocked off. Fresh deer tracks all around it. I start noticing fawn tracks in mid September.

If it takes about 2 weeks for the fawns to start following momma you should start seeing tracks ON AVERAGE about Sept. 8. Doesn't seem to have changed much for y'all either.

It was January 31 for years and years and years. Then a few year ago it changed south of Hwy 80 and this year it changed state wide.
Weird I know but true.

I see fawns start dropping in July, mainly the 3rd and 4th weeks and some dropping on into August. Last year I took pics of a day old and a 1-2 week old fawn on July 21. South of there I almost bush hogged a 30 lb fawn a week prior.
