ASA Foley Pro/Am is this weekend (actually some events start tomorrow). If you are coming, bring some rain gear and, especially, some good boots. Rubber knee high boots would be best. We got a steady, soaking rain last night and more is expected. It may rain a bit on Saturday. The Graham Creek course is nice, but when wet it can get muddy. It will be a fun tournament rain or shine, so come on down!

It's a swamp when it gets wet.

if you hear gun shots, its either me or the local poachers. if you see pigs, put down your bow and grab a rifle. very possible you`ll see some damn nice bucks too.

I have seen some nice deer around there. Rumor is someone imported some big Midwestern deer back in the 19-teens. Not sure if the veracity of my source though.

Has anyone shot one of the preliminary rounds yet? I don't shoot until tomorrow.

The Barbers imported the deer.

I shot the team shoot this afternoon. We finished 13 up but that's not good in the known class.

Good luck fellas! I wanted to go, but the way I've been shooting this week, I opted to work instead.

Well my first round is over and I have to shoot at 11:30 tomorrow morning. I shot 8 up today so I have a lot of catching up to do. It was muddy today but not as bad as last year. Good luck to those shooting again tomorrow.

Sounds like a solid day! What class?

That was fun. I was 13 under on Saturday, but 12 over on Sunday with 9 twelves. Almost even for my second ever 3D shoot, so I am pretty happy. I hope everyone who participated had a good time and will come back next year.

Known 45 class. I shot 11 down Sunday to finish in 101 out of 158. I bought a carter attraction back tension release Monday and was doing good with it. On Saturday I shot 8 twelves on the first fifteen targets but couldn't get the release to go off right on the last five targets. I fooled with it the rest of the day Saturday and Sunday morning and thought I had it fixed but I was wrong. I would have changed back to my old release for Sunday but I forgot to pack it. On Sunday I had two shots go off when I pressed the safety and I don't know how many that felt like I was pulling hard as I could before it went off. I've got a lot of practicing to do to get it figured out.

i have the bad habit of commanding the shot. I can't deal with a back tension, I've tried. Been shooting a Scott backspin a lot lately and really like it. It's the smoothest hinge I've picked up. Still shoot better with a trigger though. Float it through and punch it lol

Evidently I can't shoot back tension either but with my Scott silverhorn on the dining room table it was that or fingers.
