Getting a buggy spreader to lime my plots. Do I need to prep my plots in any way prior to spreading? Also the deer are still hitting them hard . Should I wait until spring greenup before applying? After I do it should I disc it in or let it lay? Thanks in advance.

Depends on what type soil is sand just spread if clay spread then disc. I'd wait till I was going to plant spring plots before I'd disc my fields up.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

You can lime now and disc it in later. It won't hurt anything. You may lose a small amount of lime if the rain washes any away.
