Not sure I'd want to do it with an open cab tractor

That side mount is a grand idea on principle but no way I'd run one. Too close to the cab for me.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

That is actually the same thought I had when I built the first one, I put 16 hours on my little 28hp Mahindra without a cab. Whether it was luck or not I didn't have the first thing fly back. The design has worked great, debris do not sling out like a bush hog whether cutting horizontal or vertical. Here are the specs for anyone interested

100% efficiency is 10 GPM, 1091 RPM, 640 pounds of torque, maximum pressure is 2200. Hydraulics are linear meaning a tractor with a hydraulic system at 7 GPM will run our cutter at 70%. This really is only something to consider is cutting extremely large/long paths. Running at 70% would increase the amount of time to cut the same distance by 30%.

3 position with quick attach run $2700 with hoses, bucket mounted 2 position $2200 with hoses. Each come standard with 1/2"x6' hoses. If you are going to need longer hoses or don't need our hoses each unit will be $100 less. Units are built in Escambia County Florida Duerwood 850-232-nine642

Yea, I'd be real nervous the whole time with that thing spitting stuff back past me.

City of Prattville has had these for years unless I'm thinking of a different attachment/piece of equipment

Are you possibly thinking of one of the 50k units that most municipalities have?

Do y'all build them to order or sell through dealers?
Hows the best way to purchase one?
Or the nearest dealer to central Alabama?

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

yeh those are called side arm mowers I used to run one for the power company never had any problems with slingin stuff back at the cab unless you lay it like on top of a bank laying flat then they sling stuff back occasionally. now they will sling all kinds of stuff out ahead of the tractorbut as long as you kinda keep the arm ahead of the cab 99% of the time your gonna be good. this fellers little side mount thang is neet as it can be for the money id like to have one

We have one similar to that. It's so wide that anything it slings goes outside of you

Contact him direct to purchase for now at least. Duerwood is as good of a guy as you will ever meet.
