I'm wanting to have a couple rods built. Wondering if there's anyone in central alabama or BHam area that is rod builder. Thanks for any info.

I know a local guy who builds, but he's an hour or so north of B'ham. I can get you in touch with him if you don't find anyone down that way.

We can make some Nate. Go to mudhole.com it can't be that hard. I was thinking about getting all the stuff and getting into it. It's not that bad expensive.

I ordered a catalog from mud hole. Yall may look at things differently, but there was no way to build a rod for any where near as cheap as buying a good one. It would be neat to say I built it, though.

I would buy some of their stuff if I had anywhere to put it. I've got 3 decent(less than $100) sticks that need new guides and I don't wanna pay to fix them nor do I wanna do it the cheap way.

Not in the Bham area, but Tom Wicker, down in Baldwin County, builds some of the nicest looking custom rods I've ever seen. His work is not only a quality piece of equipment, it's also a work of art! I've seen some "Wicker's Wonder Rods" with snakeskin inlays that were fantastic! He can usually be found hanging around the Pensacola Fishing Forums or the Mobile Saltwater Fishing Club forums.
