Been using those loads a long time now and have quit experimenting. No more wasting that expensive shot on paper. And I doubt I ever carry the 12 gauge again.

I have shot mag blends the last few years from my 870 with good results. Have toyed with the idea of hevishot 7 for more pellets and should still be effective down range being hevishot. Hevishot shows 1090 fps while mag blends show 1200 fps. For the turkey shot gurus would that concern you? At 7-8 bucks a shell I've stuck with the if it ain't broke don't fix it mindset but more pellets down range seemed like a good idea. Thoughts other than buy them and see what happens?

Of course after posting this I searched the internets and found a post from hawglips from 2013 on gon saying down range power was a concern with the 7's at 1090 fps. If my aldeer trivia is correct isn't hawglips Hal and he is pretty much the guru on tss and all things turkey shell related?

I just can't get into the TSS thing, so I've decided to just quit turkey hunting. I figure it's the ethical thing to do.
