At 55, I still have to have my head-hair thinned every other visit or I can't get a brush through it. The ear, eyebrow, and nose hair is a problem that has come with age.
I use one of those manual stainless steel rotary nose hair trimmers. They work. For ears and eyebrows, a Wahl full sized set of clippers for between barber visits.
