Thumb hole stocks are great for shooting, but they are kinda awkward to carry. And as Fuzzy Buuny said, if you switch from side to side they are dang near impossible to shoot from the weak hand side.
There are two types of gun enthusiasts ... Those who have been F#CKED by PTG and those who will be!

Thinking about putting one on my BMag yote gun, not real gun savy...Benefits of thumb hole vs. standard Look at the boyds tacticool stock. I have put one on several savages and they are really nice. A little more comfortable in my opinion than the thumb hole stocks. The biggest thing with a Boyd's stock is that if you want to squeeze every bit of accuracy out of your rifle you will want to bed it.

As others have said, awkward to carry. The Thumbholds that is. I do not have one though. I would consider a regular one, nice looking stocks.

I have one from Stocky's Stocks.
I feel I have better control while shooting it. It's heavy, I don't walk around with it, other than from house to stand, vehicle to stand.
I'd do the same thing again.
God Bless, David B.
