Do you shoot it all year OR do you shoot a different bow to prevent wear and tear?

I'll check the crossbow a couple of weeks before the season. After that I only shoot at game or to discharge the cocked bow if drawn during the hunt and not shot. So, I probably shoot less than 25 times / year, just like some of my hunting rifles.

Practice and hunt with the same bow. I think you will find that is the standard.

Don't shoot alot out of season but I use the same set-up. I start shooting about Sept 1st and after the season comes in I shoot about once a week until it closes.

I hunt and shoot with the same bow and arrows. Same weight tips as well

This. I just change sights, arrows and stabilizers depending on what game I'm playing. I shoot less during hunting season than any other time of year.

Shoot my compound year round, and during hunting season as well. Got to stay sharp. Probably summer is the least amount of time when I shoot, too hot!!! And I do practice with broad heads at times.

Started shooting a recurve as well last year. Hope to hunt with it soon!! Lot of dedication needed for that!
